State authorities on Friday released the body camera footage of a fatal police shooting in Fort Lee that killed 25-year-old Victoria Lee. The five videos, made public by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, show officers knocking on the door asking the women inside -- Lee and her mother -- to open it.

Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipturning now to breaking news the State Attorney General's office has released police body camera footage from last month's fatal police shooting of 25-year-old Fort Lee resident Victoria Lee now a warning the images you're about to watch are graphic in the video officers can be seen knocking on the door asking the women inside Lee and her mother to open it then they discuss who will be assigned lethal and less lethal duties before yelling through the door warning they'll break it down Lee can then be heard threatening to stab officers in the neck before they ultimately forced the door open Lee is then seen approaching officers with a large water jug in hand as they shout to drop the knife firing a single shot strikingly in the chest the Attorney General's office today also released two 911 calls made by Lee's brother in the first he requests help for his sister who's having a mental health crisis later he dials 911 back and asks to cancel the request an operator States mental health calls can't be cancelled and asks for his reason the man responds that his sister has a knife the investigation is ongoing and we will have more on this story on Monday [Music]
