Illinois keeps setting records with new covid cases. State public health officials announced more than 30,000 new cases — blowing past the old record of 21,000. And the state reports 87 additional deaths. More than 5,600 people are hospitalized with COVID. And COVID patients are occupying 34% of the state's ICU beds.
