Education leaders discuss how to prevent school tragedies

Education leaders testified Friday before a legislative panel about their needs for school safety and security, both in terms of hardware and software but also real-life mental health services. During a virtual legislative hearing of the Joint Committee on the Public Schools, they and lawmakers said there are best practices, but they come with costs.
