A world of curiosities and surprises, where, every day, creatures big and small bite off more than they can chew.
(pea-rexes growling) Join us as we follow the adventures of Ginger, a young tricarrotops, and her unlikely little friends, three baby pea-rexes, Wasabi, Split, and Minty, as they discover the many wonders that exist in this vast valley!
- Woohoo!
This is Ginger and the "Vegesaurs"!
(gentle music) - And then when you all did that zoomy thing down the hill, that was so cool!
- [Narrator] After a long day of exploring, this young Tricarrotops (Split yawning) and the three baby Pea-Rexes head home.
- Almost there!
It's just down here.
(Pea-Rexes grunt doubtingly) Trust me!
I always take this short cut.
Oh... - [Narrator] The autumn leaves have made it hard to tell which path to take.
- It is getting a bit chilly and dark.
Hey, why don't we find somewhere around here to sleep instead?
- Okay.
(Pea-Rexes snoring) (soft lullaby music) - Not here!
I bet we can find the best, most comfiest bed in the whole entire valley!
(Pea-Rexes exclaim) (perky music) Ooh, that looks cosy.
(Pea-Rexes gibber) (soothing music) (Appleflyus buzzing) - [Narrator] The nocturnal Appleflyus pollinates at night.
(busy music) (wings fluttering) It appears to have mistaken Ginger for part of the bouquet.
- Shoo, shoo!
(Pea-Rexes grunting) (busy music) Ah-ah-ah... Choo!
(gust whooshes) (Pea-Rexes yelp) (Beetroosaurus bleating) - [Narrator] The floral arrangement is, in fact, a group of sleeping Beetroosaurus.
- Pardon me.
(Beetroosaurus bleating) Let's go.
This bed is way too grumpy.
(Beetroosaurus bleating) (determined music) (nearby snoring) What was that?
(Pea-Rexes gasp) (Avocadodon snoring) - [Narrator] Young Avocadodons prefer the safety of a tree bed.
- Whoa!
That's a really cool bed!
But how do I get up there?
(scampering music) (Pea-Rexes exclaim triumphantly) Oh, yeah.
Just like that.
(grunts) Oh!
Ah... - [Narrator] Tricarrotops are not natural tree climbers, but they are extremely determined.
(resolute music) (Ginger grunts athletically) (Pea-Rexes grunt encouragement) (branch creaks and strains) (suspenseful music) Whoa!
(Avocadodon squawks) (Ginger lands with a thud) Oopsies!
(Avocadodon squawks) Shush!
Just go back to sleep.
(Avocadodon squawks loudly) - [Narrator] The sleepy Avocadodons think it's a new day.
(Avocadodon squawks) - I hope your neighbours are deep sleepers.
- [Narrator] Avocadodons headbutt the trunks of trees to release seeds and fruit to have for breakfast.
- Uh-oh.
Ooh, ah!
Phew!
(lively music) (Avocadodon squawks) Whoa!
(Avocadodon squawks) Too noisy.
Let's go.
(determined music) (Avocadodons squawk) (yawns) There's gotta be a comfy bed around here somewhere.
(curious music) Whoa, what's this?
It's so soft.
I think we found our bed for the night.
Ahhh!
(ominous music) Uh-oh!
Hi!
- [Narrator] Pineapplesaurus have hard outer armour to protect their cushiony underbelly.
Unfortunately, they don't have the soft temperament to match.
- Heh-heh... We'll show ourselves out.
Oh, pardon me!
Phew!
Those beds were way too moody.
(Pineapplesaurus all growl) Let's go!
We made it?
I mean, we made it!
Told you I knew a short cut.
(Pea-Rexes yawn) (chuckles) Ah, this bed is just right!
(sleepy music) (gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - [Narrator] Strawberrisaurus are herd animals, and are rarely seen without their patch.
- (gasps) Whoa.
- [Narrator] Within their patch, each Strawberrisaurus has a buddy, who they determine by performing a special dance.
(lively music) Being over 90% water makes them very bouncy.
- Whoo-hoo!
- Yipee!
- [Narrator] Which lends itself well to dancing.
Their high water content also makes them extremely malleable.
The trampoline of the Vegesaur world.
- [Narrator] It's the late Crunchiest period, when the world was dominated by the juiciest and freshest creatures ever to rule the planet, the mighty "Vegesaurs"!
(gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) (Ginger pants) Young Tricarrotops are very energetic first thing in the morning.
- Catch me if you can!
- [Narrator] Baby Pea-Rexes, on the other hand, can be very cheeky.
(Pea-Rexes blabbering) (Bananaraptors growling) (Pea-Rexes groaning) (Ginger pants) (dramatic music) (Ginger pants) - What about a game of slip and slide?
(Pea-Rexes blabbering) (Ginger pants) (Ginger grunts) (Bananaraptors groaning) (Bananaraptors moaning) (Shorty grunts) Woo!
(Shorty growls) - Bananana!
(dramatic music) (Ginger pants) - Hang on tight, gang.
Whoa!
(Ginger pants) (Ginger chuckles) We ready to call it quits?
- [Narrator] Bananaraptors are not good at climbing.
- Oh, hey, you really are stuck.
(Bananaraptors groaning) - [Narrator] They're slippery skins don't allow them to get a good grip.
- We have to help them.
(Pea-Rexes blabbering) If we get you out, you have to promise not to chase us.
Deal?
(Bananaraptors mumbling) I'll take that as a yes then.
Now we just have to figure out how to get them out of that hole.
Any ideas?
(Pea-Rexes chattering) - Uh-huh, uh-huh.
- (gasps) Great.
What is a Wasabi?
(Wasabi mumbles) Hmm.
Ah-ha!
If we push that boulder into the hole, then they can use it to climb out.
(Pea-Rexes grunting) (Ginger grunts) (Ginger pants) It's not enough.
We'll need to use something else to push it in.
Uh?
Hmm.
Uh, uh.
Hmm.
So we push that boulder down the hill, it goes up that ramp, hits that boulder, which flies through the air, lands on that log, releasing that boulder, which rolls down that path, knocking the bigger boulder on the edge of the hole in the hole.
Ha ha!
That's it!
Got it?
(Pea-Rexes chattering) I'll take that as a yes.
Okay, on my signal push the boulder down the hill.
- Yeah!
- We'll have you out in no time.
Trust me.
(Sleepy snarls) Okay, now!
(Pea-Rexes grunting) (dramatic music) It's working!
(triumphant music) (Ginger chuckles) Um.
- [Narrator] Oh dear, the boulder's going the wrong way.
- Oh no!
(boulder whizzes) Not part of the plan.
What?
Whoa!
(Ginger sighs) We gave it our best shot.
(Wasabi mumbles) I am really sorry.
I'm happy to bring you three meals a day.
Huh?
Look out!
(tense music) We did it!
Sort of.
(Shorty mumbles) (Sleepy giggles) (Bananaraptors mumbling) - [Narrator] Being nice is not something that comes naturally to Bananaraptors.
- Banana!
- You are welcome.
It's good to be on the same side for once.
Right, gang.
(Pea-Rexes chattering) (Bananaraptors growling) (Ginger sighs) I knew this wouldn't last.
(fast-paced music) (Ginger pants) Catch me if you can!
(fast-paced music) (gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - Let's sing a song together!
